Analysis:
Walking into this store you find the decompression zone a big open space where you find the clothing to a far distance. The butt brush theory was only in certain sections of the store one would be in the jean section well that is where I noticed it mainly. Customers behavior varies one seemed to have been engaging to clothing that was layout in tables and would pet it. The same customer unfolded the sweater to get a better look at it and took her time but then put sweater back. The store didn’t have many customers. I didn’t observe any negotiations happen I even walked over to fitting room to see if any one was in there only found two different customer one went in to try on some jeans but she didn’t even buy them. The second customer had a couple different shirts to try on but only ended up taking one top. I didn’t see any struggle with the store layout from the customers since those signs they had that helped direct where things where located.
Findings:
This store is well organized and neat in some parts and in other parts it wasn’t as organized the clothes would be on floor. No employee was near the fitting rooms to assist for instance Forever21 has employees in the fitting room to assist the customer. Another thing I noticed was that the type of clothes that they sell is not as expensive as other stores such as Nordstrom or Bloomingdale’s.
